Since 2001, I have had the privilege of serving as the College Counselor for the Ridgefield A Better Chance (RABC) Community School Program. Helping RABC scholars achieve their dream of attending a four year college or university has been truly inspiring.
After identifying appropriate colleges and overseeing each student’s entire application process, I am proud to say that 100% of our RABC scholars are consistently accepted to multiple colleges and/or universities with financial aid packages that make attending possible. RABC scholars have received full scholarships from Boston College, Carleton, Carnegie Mellon, Colgate, Connecticut College, Fordham, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Macalester, Smith, Swarthmore, Tufts, Ursinus, Union, UNC Chapel Hill, University of Pennsylvania and University of Southern California. Other RABC graduates have received scholarships covering the majority of their expenses at Amherst, BU, Denison, GW, NYU, UCONN and many more schools, insuring that our scholars’ dreams become a reality. Working closely with each student has allowed me to develop lasting relationships with our scholars, some of whom I have also assisted with graduate school applications. I consider myself fortunate to be able to work with a group of young women who are so motivated to succeed.
